Kohl’s Care for Kids- Rio 2 Plush Toys and Books Review-Givewaway!

Rio 2 has just come out in the movies and Hayley/I are planning to take a trip to see it. We loved the first one, so are equally excited to watch the sequel to it. Now,  Kohl’s Department Stores  in partnership with Twentieth Century Fox Consumer Products, is inviting families to bring the magic of the movies home this summer with exclusive merchandise from RIO 2 for just $5 through the Kohl’s Cares merchandise program. Blu and fan-favorite characters Gabi and Luiz from RIO 2, now in theaters, are venturing into Kohl’s stores nationwide to create lasting memories with children and parents alike.

About RIO and RIO 2

From Twentieth Century Fox Animation and Blue Sky Studios – the creators of Ice Age, Epic and Robots – the musical animation adventure comedy RIO tells the story of how rare blue macaws Blu and Jewel meet and fall in love in Rio de Janeiro during Carnival. The entire cast of the animated smash RIO returns in RIO 2, and are joined by a new flock of top actors and musical talents.

Rich with grandeur, character, color and music, RIO 2 finds Jewel (Anne Hathaway), Blu (Jesse Eisenberg) and their three kids leaving domesticated life in a magical city for a journey to the Amazon. They encounter a menagerie of characters who are born to be wild, voiced by Oscar® nominee Andy Garcia, Oscar/Emmy®/Tony® winner Rita Moreno, Grammy® winner Bruno Mars and Tony winner Kristin Chenoweth. Rio 2 also features new Brazilian artists and original music by Janelle Monae and Wondaland. For more information visit www.riomovies.com.

If you are not familiar with Kohl’s Care for Kids, it is a wonderful initiative that retails certain products every month for $5 and is usually available at your counters at your local Kohl’s. With this initiative, 100 percent of the net profit from the collection of Kohl’s Care for Kids merchandise supports children’s health and education initiatives nationwide.  When you purchase the specific Kohl’s Care for Kids merchandise (each month there is a different theme), you know it is going to a great cause. And for only $5 a piece- you can’t go wrong!

Since 2000, Kohl’s has raised more than $257 million for kids health and education initiatives through the Kohl’s Cares cause merchandise program, recognized more than 19,500 outstanding kids through the Kohl’s Cares Scholarship Program and donated more than 2.7 million hours of volunteer time through the Associates in Action volunteer program.

Be sure to check out your local Kohl’s today for the awesome Rio 2 Plush/Books for only $5 a piece. All sales benefit the Kohl’s Care for Kids initiative.
