Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe with I can’t believe it’s not Butter! #CookWithSpreads #ad

*This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Unilever. All my opinions are my own and not swayed by outside sources.*

Last month, I told you all about my love of I can’t believe it’s not Butter and how I used it to make a delicious noodle pudding. Cooking with I can’t believe it’s not Butter, allows me to substitute my favorite butter-ridden recipes and turn them into a healthier recipe for my whole family to eat.DSC01775

My family are huge chocolate chip fans so I decided I was going to test out I can’t believe it’s not Butter in my cookie recipe that I love to make. This time I enlisted my daughter to help me throughout the whole baking process from mixing to spooning the cookies onto the plate.DSC01776

DSC01778Ingredients:

– 2 eggs – 1 cup flour -1 cup sugar -1 cup brown sugar – 2 teaspoons baking powder -3 Tbls I can’t believe it’s not Butter melted – 2.5 cup flour -1/2 package of chocolate chips

Directions:

1. Preheat over to 375 degrees F.

2. Add all ingredients except for chocolate chips. Once throughouly mixed, add the chips.

3. Spoon a heaping tablespoon of the mixture onto a cookie sheet. Continue until you are out of batter.

4. Bake for 15 minutes (note- I burned the edges slightly so I would cook it for 8-10 minutes most likely)

These cookies, just like my noodle pudding, turned out superb! You would never guess that I cooked with I can’t believe it’s not Butter. I had Hayley’s friends over and I think they gobbled up the cookies even more than when I cook with butter in the recipe. They were that good!DSC01784

Cooking with I can’t believe it’s not Butter has been terrific! I have been only using this in place of the traditional and cholesterol-ladden butter we had in our household. Had is the key word- we no longer use butter anymore! There is no reason to use butter anymore when I can’t believe it’s not Butter is a healthy condiment that is easy to cook and bake with.  If a recipe calls for me to melt the butter, I simple replace with I can’t believe it’s not Butter and I am good to go! It also melts right away in the microwave for easy use. Everything from main dishes..to side dishes…to deserts can be made with I can’t believe it’s not Butter!

There are so many health benefits to using this spread as well. It has 70 percent less saturated fat and 30 percent fewer calories than other brands of butter on the market. It contains no choloestrol, hydrogenated oils, or trans-fat! I am so happy that my family can get the same great taste of traditional butter, without any of those horrible fat-ladden ingredients. It is a great option for those watching their weight, and equally a great option for those who have high cholesterol like me. As I said in previous posts, my cholestrol has gone done signficantly in the past year and I have,  I can’t believe it’s not Butter to thank for that!

I would suggest spreads like I can’t believe it’s not Butter for great substitutes for butter in recipes or on their own. My morning usually consists of having a whole grain bagel with the spread on top. It is a hearty and healthy option to keep me running each morning. If you have not tried I can’t believe it’s not Butter, definitely do so! I will be using it on my morning bagels and in recipes for a long time to come! The possibilities are endless- spreading it on corn, over pancakes, on muffins to name a few.

Be sure to head to your local Walmart and give I can’t believe it’s not Butter a try. This summer, try a recipe you always wanted to make with it. You will be glad you did! Also, check out It’s Good to Know for other great recipes using I can’t believe it’s not Butter!

Here is a small vlog about my experiences cooking with I can’t believe it’s not Butter!

Cooking your favorite recipes using Unilever buttery spreads is a deliciously smart move. With 0g trans fats per serving, less saturated fat and fewer calories than butter, cholesterol-free spreads are a better option.

My daughter and I love to bake cookies together, but even though I love ICBINB, we’ve never tried using it in our baking. I guess we’ll have to give it a try next time we get a craving for chocolate chip cookies 🙂
