Motherhood – The Biggest Challenges of the Best Job!

*This is a sponsored post with Nioxin and One 2 One Network. All opinions are my own and not swayed by outside sources.*13413000_10154204947024356_6602022367996486538_n

Motherhood is absolutely all it’s cracked up to be. It’s so much fun for me to watch my babies grow. I love helping them learn new things and watching them learn how to tackle things all on their own. I am watching tiny humans grow into adults before my very eyes! I think motherhood is an absolutely wonderful time, but it’s not all sunshine and unicorns. There are parts of being a mom that will have you on the edge of pulling out your hair.

Motherhood – The Navy Seal Training of Parenthood

Being a mom is one of the toughest jobs you’ll ever do. You’ll be responsible for the health and well-being of a tiny human for starters. Not only that, you’ll be responsible for a tiny human who has to be taught how to interact with the world in a way that is pleasant for him or herself and everyone around them. It’s a big responsibility, and it’s all up to you and your husband. Some of the challenges you’ll face include.

Lack of Sleep

Get ready to start working on a total of about 4 hours of sleep. You’ll be up a lot with your baby for feeding, changing, and random crying. Studies show that kids sleep an average of 18 hours a day. For a lot of kids, it seems like those 6 hours they’re awake are the ones where you’re trying to sleep. LOL

Time Management

You and your husband are going to have to relearn how to do everything all over again. Even the most mundane of life activities become a tag team sport when you venture into motherhood. You’ll have to balance dinner, errands, and even going to the bathroom with the needs of your baby.

Baby Proofing

Motherhood is just as much about proactive approaches as it is about managing those bumps in the road. Baby proofing is key. First time moms might think outlet covers and door latches are enough, but that’s only part of it. You’ll need baby gates for stairs and other parts of the house that should remain baby free. You’ll also want to move things like litter boxes and other easily reachable, yet gross things out of reach of the little ones.

Stress

Motherhood is wonderful, but it will drive up your stress level. That’s not to say being a mom is bad. It’s the most fantastic thing in the world. But if you don’t make time for yourself so you can decompress, the responsibilities of motherhood can stress you way, way out. Remember to take time to tag out with your hubby and read a book or take a bath.

Thinning Hair

Thinning hair is something that a lot of new moms get. It can be attributed to:

  • Genetics
  • Nutrition and diet
  • Stress
  • Health Issues
  • Medication
  • Environmental Factors
  • Postpartum Issues

Thinning Hair Doesn’t Have to be a Part of MotherhoodDSC_0186

As much as I love being a mom, motherhood had my hair thinning a little. After the stress of carrying 3 children and then doing all the mommy stuff they need, my hair started losing a little bit of its body. NIOXIN has helped me get that body back. I took the NIOXIN 30 Day Challenge, and it’s done wonders for my hair. You can try it, to. Here’s how.

Head over to the NIOXIN consultation tool page to see which of NIOXIN’s 6 System Kits are right for you and your specific hair needs. Each kit addresses specific hair problems for specific hair types, which is really cool!

I ended up with NIOXIN’s Night Density Rescue Treatment and Bodifying Foam. Both of these products work together to help increase body and fullness in your hair. After 30 days, I can tell you with certainty that they absolutely work!  The key ingredients in these products help promote hair health and fullness from the outside and the inside.

Night Density Rescue Treatment

This nightly treatment helps reduce oxidative damage to my scalp. The powerful antioxidants found in NIOXIN’s NIOXYDINE24 technology help minimize future damage and heal current damage to my scalp, because a healthy scalp is key to healthy, fuller hair. It uses these key ingredients to heal my scalp and promote thicker hair while I sleep:

  • Biotin – Antioxidant frequently used to fortify nails and hair
  • Caffeine – Hydrates skin and thickens outer layer of the epidermis
  • Vitamin E – Powerful antioxidant used to reduce oxidative damage to the skin
  • Ginger Root Extract – Antioxidant frequently used

Bodifying Foam

The other weapon I used in my fight against motherhood induced thinning hair is NIOXIN’s Bodifying Foam. This foam helps add body to the hair using what they call 3D styling. It addresses the 3 D’s of hair thinning.

  • Derma – Supports optimal scalp environment
  • Density – Lightweight stylers condition hair for easier styling and less breakage
  • Diameter – Formula microbonds to the hair to create additional space between hair strands, which leads to increased diameter.

Thinning Hair is One Motherhood Challenge We Don’t Need

Motherhood is beautiful, wonderful, difficult job. We’ll face a lot of tough challenges, but one challenge we don’t need to face is thinning hair. Whether your thinning hair comes from motherhood, genetics, or a little bit of both, NIOXIN can help you conquer that thinning hair. I’ve been using it for a while now, and is absolutely as good as it claims to be.

Check it out at your local salon or at NIOXIN’s website. This is great stuff!DSC_0190
