Whole Foods Vitamin Angels and a $25 Whole Foods Gift Card #Giveaway!

I have talked a lot about Vitamin Angels and their partnership with Whole Foods several times on my blog over the last couple of years. I absolutely love what Vitamin Angels stand for and how Whole Foods is helping them on their initiative to provide the necessary vitamins for those who might not be able to afford them.Screen Shot 2013-07-29 at 5.19.39 PM

Vitamin Angels helps at risk populations in needs, especially those who are pregnant, new mothers, and children under five. They help them to gain access lifesaving and life changing micronutrients. Many of these people in these categories do not have the necessary funds to purchase vitamins for sustainable living, so Vitamin Angels, along with Whole Foods, tries to make a difference by supporting this very important cause.

When you purchase any Whole Foods Market or 365 Everyday Value supplements in stores, Whole Foods Market will donate 25 cents to Vitamin Angels. I know for one I purchase my vitamins at Whole Foods, so it is great to know that by purchasing this Whole Food brands, I am making a difference to help people.Screen Shot 2013-07-29 at 5.20.20 PM

It only takes 25 cents to provide vitamin A to an at-risk child for an entire year.  This year, with your help, Vitamin Angels hopes to reach 30 million children with vitamin A. Vitamin A is essential for healthy skin, teeth, and vision.

To help out this very important cause, Whole Foods needs all of our help. Just go out and purchase any Whole Foods Market or 365 Everyday Value supplement including Amazing Grass, Garden of Life, Jarrow Formulas, Reserveage, Nordic Naturals and Source Naturals to name a few. 25 cents of your donation will be donated to Vitamin Angels. We buy these vitamins anyway, so why not help out and make a difference in lives!

    Extremely important for the pregnant moms to have folic acid to prevent spina bifida, not to mention the other benefits… I shop at WF all the time and am happy if my purchase contributes to this cause.

    I’ve gotten supplements from Whole Foods and it is good to know they partner with Vitamin Angels. They truly are angels to care about people who have no way to obtain these needed vitamins, and such a small price goes such a long way!

    This is pretty awesome, I learned that in Guatemala they had vitamin A for 862,250 children, multivitamins for 4,117 children, prenatal vitamins for 21,064 women.

    I think this is a good cause and Vitamin Angels seems to be pretty efficient. It looks like they use a very small amount of their donations for administrative/fundraising. Most of your donation goes toward the intended purpose and you can do it online.

    I ususally don’t buy supplements (sometimes I get potassium) but I will be happy to check out/purchase the Whole Foods supplement line if it helps this cause. Hope that there is labeling in the store that shows which ones benefit Vitamin Angels.

    I love this cause. Its something many people probably don’t think about in terms of helping people in other countries. You think about food, clothing and shelter but with such poor diets these people are not getting the necessary nutrients especially the young developing children.
