As a dentist I know the importance of keeping up with your dental hygiene. I see dozens of patients over the course of my time spent in our office each week and have seen both exemplary & deplorable oral conditions. It makes sense though, how something as simple as a lack of knowledge can lead to severe dental issues later on in life. This is why I’m firm with kiddos and parents when they’re in my office. In a recent study done by DenTek, a worldwide leader in in Oral care products, 50% of participants said that their parents never taught them the importance of good oral habits, especially flossing! Knowing the importance of taking proper care of your mouth and its health, DenTek decided to launch their 30-Day Family Challenge to help families step up their flossing game in 2018.
Another study from DenTek revealed that most participants would be more likely to floss on a regular basis if an appealing incentive was offered.
