I have talked about my love of the company, Tiny Love before. I remember vividly purchasing many Tiny Love toys, as well registering for them, when Hayley was born. They have the cutest array of infant and toddler products on the market.
Tiny Love toys are geared towards assisting with baby development. While they feel toys should be fun to play with, more importantly is the ability to help the young ones grasp some of the developmental steps necessarily in their growth. Tiny Love is a multiple award winning global toy and baby toy company manufacturer that was founded in 1991. The company began branching to the field of developmental toys and accessories that promote baby’s development. Some of the important baby development aspects that the toys focus on are cognition, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, imagination, creativity, language, communication, and senses.
I had the chance to review two wonderful Tiny Love toys, The Musical Stack & Ball Game and the Follow Me Fred musical toys.
The Tiny Love Musical Stack and Ball Game is a dual-stage elephant-shaped stacking toy with a colorful design. There a couple of ways for children to use this toy. When they are young (age 6-9 months), they will be more interested in playing with the balls provided and making themselves aware of the rattling sounds of the balls once they shake them. A baby will not quite get the object of putting the ball through the elephant and seeing it return from the other side.
Zane is 18 months and although the toy says the two stages of 6-9 months/ 9-12 months, I will tell you his is mesmerized with this toy! He had a blast putting the balls through the opening of the elephant (at the top section of the toy) an then seeing it fall down and reappear at the opposite end of the toy. Beside being excited to see the ball appear and disappear, he just loves using it as a stacker. He likes taking the rings off and on. He is actually getting quite good at it thanks to it allowing him to use his mind and dexterity with this toy. The sounds that it makes and the lights that shine, make him realize he is doing it right. He gets so proud when he gets the ball in, or the ring on- it is truly so cute!
The Tiny Love Musical Stack and Ball Game retails for $29.99 on the Tiny Love website.
The next toy we received was the Follow-me Fred which is a baby- activated dog that encourages babies to crawl by barking and playing a friendly tune. It has a flexible middle that allows Fred to turn in circles. I love that it promotes fine motor skills. cognitive, as well as, emotional abilities. It comes with an adjustable speed control which is also a great feature!
This toy is aimed for the baby to start crawling. The cheerful music and slow movement will attract the baby’s attention and encourage him/her to reach forward and start crawling. The friendly dog is an ideal stimulus for both emotional and physical interaction. It is a super cute and worthwhile toy for young babies to start moving!
The Tiny Love Follow Me Fred is available on the Tiny Love Website for $24.99.
