I was so completely excited to become a Maytag ambassador and begin to bring you my thoughts on the Maytag Bravos XL Washer and Dryer. When I first announced I became a Maytag ambassador, a lot of my blog followers and Facebook fans were asking me my thoughts on it since they were in the market for a new washer/dryer. At that time, I had yet to receive the washer/dryer, so I could not answer them yet. Now, I can say I have had my Maytag Bravos XL Washer/Dryer for 6 weeks now and I AM IN LOVE!! Serious LOVE!
For over 100 years Maytag has designed dependable appliances to accompany our everyday life. While I have never owned a Maytag appliance before, I am really not sure why. I should have listened to my mom who told me originally to get a Maytag washer/dryer when I was looking for appliances in my home. She has had the same Maytag Washer/Dryer for quite some time now and it has stood the test of time. For me though, I was stubborn and did not listen to my mom. I ended up purchasing another brand and was so sorry I did. My old washer/dryer was nothing but trouble for me. It did not last more than 5 years and with the amount of money that was invested to buy my old washer/dryer, this was incredibly discouraging to say the least! I constantly had to call my technician to come in to take a look at my old washer/dryer and the end result was always the same- they told me they hoped it was fixed and stayed that way. It never did! If I would have listened to my mom and went with the Maytag brand, I would have never have encountered the tremendous problems I did with my old washer/dryer. I also would have saved myself a lot of time and energy that I exerted dealing with my old washer/dryer. Maytag is definitely a brand my family can count on!
Being a mom of two along with a husband who needs his clothes cleaned constantly, I NEED a reliable washer/dryer. I am so happy to report that the Maytag Bravos XL High Efficiency Top-Load Washer/Dryer went way beyond my highest expectations! Let’s start with the day it was scheduled to arrive and go from there. When I received a call that my Maytag Washer/Dryer was set to come, I was given a time frame for installation. The delivery guys were there promptly the time that they were supposed to be there. Then when they got the machine out of the box, they noticed the smallest dent on the appliance. They automatically took the brand new Maytag Bravos XL Washer and put it back in the truck. They did not want me having even the smallest dent on the appliance. It was so small but they wanted me to have the freshest and best Maytag Bravos. They delivered a new one to the house the same day. The installation guys set it up thoroughly and spent at least 2 hours at my house, telling me all about the features of the Maytag Bravos XL and making sure I knew exactly how to work them. The service from Maytag is purely incredible!
After they left, I was so excited to try them out. We have so many circumstances where life gets in the way that I need to do a quick wash. For example, that same night Zane had the stomach bug and vomitted all over. I instantly had to use my Maytag Bravos to do the cleaning of all his shirts and sheets. I had never used the machines before so I was highly optimistic, but still slightly nervous, to see how the Maytag would perform. Let me tell you that it got out every last bit of stain on Zane’s outfits and bedsheets. It was incredible! I don’t think my old washer would do that even if I tried repeating the washing many times! Maytag washer and dryers continue to add a sense of reliability to circumstances that are beyond our control as parents. Just wait until I tell you what my husband did with my clothes and how the Maytag Bravos Washer/Dryer performed to save my husband a lot of grief from being yelled at by me- more to come on that in a post next month but I assure you, you will laugh and also be amazed at the Maytag reliability.
The latest Bravos XL features 13 speciality cycles to make it easy on us moms doing laundry. It is truly amazing as I no longer need to tell my washer/dryer what spin speed is appropriate for the clothes or what the correct cycle should be. It makes it so easy that it literally knows everything once you put your clothes in the washer/dryer. I simply select the type of laundry I want to use and off it goes doing its job effectively and efficiently. I also love the fact that it uses 75 percent less water and energy from my old washer/dryer.
Maytag Bravo XL
While I love all the various cycles, two of my favorites are the allergen cycle and the PowerWash cycle. Zane as you know suffers severe food, as well as household, allergies. I love the fact that with the Allergen Cycle, it can help eliminate 95% of household allergens. This is such awesome news to a mom who has a child who suffers from household allergies, as well as myself, who also slightly suffers from allergies. In the springtime, my seasonal allergies really act up and I am glad I have a washer/dryer that can help me eliminate most of the household allergens that make me suffer!
The PowerWash cycle is awesome as well, in that it delivers the best cleaning in the industry by using a combination of extra cleaning and thorough rinse cycle to assure it gets rid of the most awful stains that could be found on children’s clothes. With the unique PowerSpray technology, allows my detergent to be spread evenly to clean all my clothes perfectly in one cycle.
I am loving my new Maytag Bravos XL Washer/Dryer! It is saving me time, energy, and money by using these machines. We are huge Maytag fans! I’ve never tried their laundry appliances, but our kitchen is full of them. They have great craftsmanship and customer service!
Those are some good-lookin’ machines! I can’t lie, I never thought I’d see “fun” and “laundry” in the same sentence unless it was something like “I’m having fun not doing my laundry”, but it sounds like your new Maytags are really a pleasure to use! I’m jealous!! I also like the allergen cycle–what a novel idea! That would be great to use for all kinds of things, even though hubs and I don’t have allergies, I could use it to cut down on dog dander for when those who do have allergies come visit. And it’s green too! Again, I’m jealous!!

OHH jealous! I want them! The look great! Tell that delivery man that he can come to my house any time and drop off the new washer/dryer. Mine are dying a slow and painful death! LOL
They are so purdy! After 4 years of a front load washer, I realize that I miss the old-fashioned top load machine. I am in the market now for a new HE washer/dryer and will give Maytag a looksie.
I have always been a fan of Maytag as the company headquarters (before they were purchased by Whirlpool) was in my hometown. So many of my family members worked there so all we know is Maytag!

So does this top-load have the spinning thing in the middle, or is it like a front-loader on it’s back? If it is a “regular” top-loader, do you feel like it’s tough on your clothes?

They’re getting to be more and more like cars and computers, a newer and cooler model comes out every six months, which makes it so stressful in buying a new machine (’cause maybe that really cool function that you never knew you wanted will come out in only six more months! lol)

I am most amazed that no only did they take away the washer when they saw a dent, they came back THE SAME DAY with another one. I really couldn’t get past that paragraph, actually. THE SAME DAY?????? You didn’t have to call and reschedule and sit for hours waiting for another day?

the reason you love it is because it is not yet three years old…. when it is and you’re having to pay for a repair….and the company won’t work with you when you express your unhappiness at having to repair a machine you paid THAT MUCH money for and it broken…..THEN, you won’t love it so much!
