Do you plan playdates? Check out…Playdate Planet!

If you are like me, your schedule is busy! Between being a dentist, a mom to two small kids, and a blogger, I barely get a moment to breathe. However, I always feel guilty when I look back at the week and noticed I didn’t plan any special playdates for Hayley/Zane.  I feel playdates are essential for my kids social growth as well as  letting  me have a reprieve from the everyday demands of life. Playdates are so special in that Hayley/ Zane can have fun and I can enjoy my coffee with some of my closest friends. However, with all the moms running in  different directions, it is sometimes very difficult to plan playdates. Can you relate?

Luckily, there is a new site, Playdate Planet, that helps moms with the access to make playdates quick and easily. Playdate Planet is owned by Meryl and Lisa, who are two moms, who came up with the site as a way to meet their busy  demands and scheduling problems.  When they encountered problems of never being able to efficiently plan playdates for their kids, they decided to start Playdate Planet.

I, personally find this site ingenious. There are three very easy steps to get started to planning your playdate: 1. Register  2. Connect with your friends 3. Post or accept playdates. When you first get started, you will be prompted to quickly register which is a few second process. Next you start planning your playdate.

Before I began, I invited some of my friends to join. You can do this via Facebook or send directly to their inbox. I started with some of my mommy friends, sending them invitations. Once they begin to  accept, they can then be added to your invitation.

The next step is creating your invitation:

In the information box seen above that I started, you add in who the playdate is for as well as all the details for your playdate. You can give a description of the playdate, what food is being served, who is in charge of the playdate, as well as time/place. You can also add in any information about kids allergies or anything you would like the host to know about. After you fill out this information, you can send it to your friends. It really is as simple as that!

What a truly love about this site, is it geared to making moms’ lives easier one step at a time. It was so convenient to add in my information for my playdate and send. It took all of five minutes of my time instead of wasting away the day on the phone with many moms, trying to find a mutual time that fits all. The best part is you invite who you want to invite. No one is privy to your playdate or your information, other than who you care to invite to your playdate. Another great feature is you can invite how many guests you would like. If you want 10 kids at the playdate, you can let the playdate list show up as that. After 10 slots are filled, there will be an end to the signup.

Take the stress out of planning playdates with  Playdate Planet. Don’t waste another minute fretting over your next playdate. This site does it all for you. It is easy, efficient , free, and user friendly- all wrapped up in one fantastic site. Have fun on your play date! That's genius! We have a playgroup of around 10 mom's but no one set way of communicating- there are FB events, we have a highly neglected FB group, there's texts & calls… and no matter what, it seems SOMEONE doesn't get an invite due to a lapse in communication. So thanks for the tip! 🙂
