I am SO excited to present the next season for the Providence Performing Arts Center. I have seen some of these shows and some will be new to me, but I just can’t wait! The shows keep getting better and better! We are so lucky to have amazing Broadway right in our hometown.

The Providence Performing Arts Center (PPAC) has announced its 2026/2027 Broadway Season this morning at a press conference held in the Theatre’s Grand Lobby, highlighted by the national tour launch of OPERATION MINCEMEAT: A NEW MUSICAL, marking the 25th national tour to open at the Theatre. At the event, Joseph W. Walsh, Esq., Chair of PPAC’s Board of Directors, provided welcoming remarks and introduced Alan J. Chille, the new President and CEO of PPAC.
Chille announced PPAC’s 2026/2027 Broadway Season, kicking off in September 2026 with OPERATION MINCEMEAT: A NEW MUSICAL and followed by five additional Broadway hits in the Taco and The White Family Foundation Broadway Series, as well as the Encore Series , which opens in October 2026 with the return of the romantic thriller THE BODYGUARD. Also part of the Encore Series is the all-ages holiday show ‘TWAS THE NIGHT BEFORE… by Cirque Du Soleil; this will be the iconic company’s first ever appearance at PPAC.
“Our upcoming season is filled with extraordinary stories that will inspire audiences,” said Chille. “Whether you love Tony Award-winning productions like MAYBE HAPPY ENDING and Alicia Keys’ HELL’S KITCHEN, visually spectacular productions like THE GREAT GATSBY and DEATH BECOMES HER, a deeply moving love story like THE NOTEBOOK or uplifting musical memoirs like A BEAUTIFUL NOISE: THE NEIL DIAMOND MUSICAL and JERSEY BOYS , each theatregoer will find a show that feels truly special.”
In a recorded statement, John Hazen White, Jr., Executive Chairman of the Taco Company of Families and the title sponsor of the Broadway Series, said, “At Taco and The White Family Foundation, we believe that communities flourish when they have access to the performing arts. That’s why we’ve proudly sponsored PPAC’s Broadway Series for eighteen years. Our thriving local arts community, including world-class performances right here at PPAC, enriches lives and brings families closer together. This season’s Broadway lineup is truly exciting, and we know audiences will love it!”

From introducing 7,000 Rhode Island 10th graders to Broadway through Experience PPAC, to honoring military members through our Seats for Service Members program, our outreach and engagement efforts ensure that the arts remain inclusive, impactful and inspiring for all.
