Organic Food for Kids with NuturMe

Organic food is very important to me. I buy organics whenever possible for everyone in the home. I think it’s the healthiest way to eat. I watched an episode of Nova once that talked about what the food industry does to food from start to finish, and I was just mortified. Antibiotics, chemicals, pesticide sprays – it’s terrifying. Did you know that washing your produce isn’t enough? Nope. It soaks in through the skin and throughout the food. That’s horrifying. That’s why I always shop for organic food, whether it’s fresh from the produce section or certified organic prepared foods and snacks.

That’s why I’ve become a big fan of NurturMe. Their line of foods and snacks are all organic and made specifically to protect tummies and make sure that the kids eat healthy, delicious snacks that promote well-being. Perfect!

Organic Food for Better Health from NurturMe

NurturMe is a tummy friendly brand of organic food ranging from cookies to yogurt blends that are designed to take care of our children while they enjoy delicious snacking. Their ancient grain cereals and snacks are free from gluten, dairy, soy, and eggs – the most common food allergens. They also pack their foods full of probiotics to promote healthy gut health, which has been shown to be the foundation for better overall health. In fact each serving of NurturMe cereals and snacks has more immune boosting benefit than 10 cups of probiotic yogurt. That’s pretty amazing!

NurturMe Ancient Grain Cookies

I’m highlighting NurturMe’s Ancient Grain Cookies today because my kids really love them. My two older kids love the taste of these cookies, and my youngest loves the fun shapes. These cookies are essentially a snack and a toy for her. LOL. I love them because I can feel extra good about what I’m feeding them. These cookies are made with quinoa.

If you don’t know anything about quinoa other than that you’re seeing it everywhere these days, let me give you the scoop. Quinoa is a grain that is naturally gluten free! It also has a complete protein profile with all 9 essential amino acids. What that means is that this grain is easy on stomachs while feeding the body everything it needs. And with NurturMe Ancient Grain Cookies, it’s all wrapped up in a delicious snack!

In addition to quinoa, these cookies also contains millet which promotes healthy colon activity and builds strong muscles and bones. Sorghum is also used in these cookies to provide immunity boosting antioxidants and iron. These cookies are pretty much power food disguised as a snack, and that’s why I love them so much.
