Our Visit to StoryLand in New Hampshire!

Being from Rhode Island, one of the my favorite road trips to do is visit the White Mountains in New Hampshire. There is so much to do for a fun family vacation! One of our must do stops is StoryLand in Glen, NH.

StoryLand has been a main attraction in NH for 60 years now and continues to provide families an exciting, and fun filled vacation. It is the premiere Children’s theme park entertaining families through their amazing rides, shows, and attractions.

IMG_3383This year, we bought the whole family to StoryLand to experience the magic this place has to offer. Since Zane is only 2 years old, I was slightly worried that there would be not enough rides for him to go on. Hayley is at the age where she could go on just about anything but Zane is still on the smaller side. I was so wrong because StoryLand really caters to every age group possible. Zane was able to go on so many wonderful rides and he was grinning ear to ear once he was done.IMG_3394

Some of the many rides include Alice the Teacups, Antique Carousel, Bamboo Shoots, Buccaneer Pirate Ship, Dutch Shoes, Farm Tractor, Polar Coaster, and many more. Hayley and Zane even got a chance to ride a pumpkin chariot over to Cinderella and meet their favorite storybook character!IMG_3397

This was the first year Hayley went on a Rollercoaster and her very first experience was on the Polar Coaster. I have to tell you that we went on this ride 6 times in a row! Even I, had a truly spectacular time riding this coaster. It is the perfect coaster for those who are just starting with amusement park rides.IMG_3399

Shows at the park include Duke’s Dance Party, It’s Magic, A Fairytale Fiasco, and more! We only went for a day so we only were able to see one of the 8 shows available. I recommend if you are going to StoryLand, to make a weekend trip out of it, as there really is so much to see!DSC05273-1024x768

My parents took my brothers and I to Storyland so many times while we were growing up. I loved it there! (We also usually went up the road to Santa’s Village and sometimes Six Gun City.)

The Old Lady Who Lived in a Shoe, Cinderella, and the Glacier ride were always my favorites. I can’t wait until next year because Bubbles should be old enough to enjoy Storyland. We’ll make plans to go when we travel to Maine to visit my family.

Glad you guys had a fun time! 🙂

Tyvm! We have tickets to use by 10-14-13 and we have a 5, a 3, and 18 month old children. So i was wondeting what each child would get out of their visit. The price is ok as long as they all can have a great day 🙂
p.s.i was worried as well that all of the rides and games were extra. Sou alleviated my worries.
