I always take my time buying items for myself. I don’t rush out to buy the latest and greatest trending items. Unnecessary clutter doesn’t exist in our home. Granted, there is some clutter but that comes with having people, especially kids, living in one space. For the most part though, we like to keep things low-key. From our cars, to the décor in our home and even to our clothing/accessory selections, no one in my family has ever been a fan of over the top statements. However, I do love fashion! That is where Nordgreen comes in!
I recently was contacted by a representative for Nordgreen, a Scandinavian watch company. I was soon taken with the selection of simple yet elegantly crafted watches, deciding to do a review piece to share with my readers. Sustainable, affordable, honest and of superior craftsmanship. Those 4 key principles were the selling points that solidified the company as one that I would be proud to feature.
Created by two lifelong best friends, Pascar & Vasilij, Nordgreen is founded on the love of watches and built on solid principles such as the highest quality, best design, affordability to consumers and of course, the belief that ones self doesn’t always have to be put above all others. The company and everything it stands for is a testament to the Danish way: to do things the right way, the honest way, with pride and with purpose.
As Danes, part of the Nordgreen story is taking care of one another. Each watch that is crafted is done so with the help of Jakob Wagner, one of Scandinavia’s most awarded designers, and is made to make the wearer feel good about the quality of the watch they wear. More so, they’re meant to inspire the individual to feel good about what their watch stands for.
To shine light on what that means exactly, Nordgreen has partnered with three global NGO’s in an effort to bring about change in the areas of health, education and environment. Each watch created and sold, gives the purchaser the choice of which cause they wish to support and as such creates the unique opportunity to give consumers a chance to become a part of that change, thus making them a part of the Nordgreen story. While partnering with Nordgreen, I was able to review their stunning White Dial – Rose Gold Watch from their Native collection. I’ve got to say, words almost escape me on this one; these women watches was more beautiful in person than it was online and that’s saying something!
The strap itself is made from Vegan leather, which is a huge bonus for myself as well as my Vegan followers. Rounded and unassuming, the Native White Dial in Rose Gold was designed just for me. At least that’s how I feel, anyway.
Unlike other watches I’ve had in the past that were clunky and just blah in appearance, I feel like its simplicity and sleek design makes it all the more stylish. I can wear it to work or I can dress it up for going out, there are no limitations that I’ve found. As an added bonus, it even has the ability to swap out the straps if I ever get tired of the white one it originally rested on.
How could you not fall in love with something so classy and with a history with such a profound involvement in some of the most important works in the world today? When I wear this watch, it’s impossible to forget the company and their dedication to good works in this world we live in.
