Why Storytelling is Good for Children

*Why Storytelling is Good for Children is a really great question. Today in a partnership with Lunii I tell you why. All opinions are my own and not swayed by outside sources.*

We all grew up with those cherished memories of our parents or grandparents telling us a story. These storytelling moments were such a memorable experience that most generations continue storytelling to their children As this tradition continues to pass down from generation to generation, storytelling simply becomes a part of childhood. With our advanced technological lifestyles, it makes sense that storytelling continues to be good for children but also has a high-tech option. Today I am going to share a new way to allow your children to enjoy storytelling without a screen but first let’s talk about why storytelling is good for children. Why Storytelling is Good for Children

Shares their Culture and Roots

When your elders tell a story of the good old days with children seated cross-legged on the floor, it makes children more aware of their roots and culture. As children sit to listen to storytelling from an elder or even a book, they can be taught to be more aware of their culture and ancestry in a fun way that engages them.

Instills Good Values and MoralsWhy Storytelling is Good for Children

Children who are allowed to listen to stories throughout their life, whether using Lunii or holding a paperback book, tend to learn good values and morals. There are many stories that sneak in a life lesson or two while your children read or listen to a story read to them. Storytelling can instill good values and morals if you pick the right stories for your child to listen to.

Improves Listening Skills

It’s nearly a given that storytelling is good for children because it helps improve listening skills. When a child must sit still to hear a story whether electronically or read aloud by a parent, they have to pay attention. As your child listens to more stories on a regular basis, they start to work on improving listening skills across all areas of their life.

What is Lunii and Why Storytelling is Good for Children? Why Storytelling is Good for Children

Lunii will launch their crowdfunding on May 31, 2018, and are ready to get the word out about their storytelling audio device. Children may create up to 48 different adventures and stories to listen to. Your child simply picks the location, the hero, the key object and the supporting character. Once your child has selected those options, Lunii will go ahead and create a story to tell based on your child’s selections.

The awesome thing about Lunii is that it’s expandable too with extra story packs available at their LuniiStore. The awesome benefit of using Lunii for storytelling is that it gives children of all ages a chance to truly enjoy a little old school storytelling. This is perfect for screen-free playtime and enjoyable for all ages, including adults.

I hope this answered the question of Why Storytelling is Good for Children. Be sure to check out Lunii today! Why Storytelling is Good for Children
