One of Hayley’s favorite pastimes is dressing up! She could spend all day playing dress up either by herself or with her friends. I love it because it makes her happy and promotes imagination. Whenever I hear about companies that sell costumes and dress up supplies, I am always interested because we spend so much time doing it in our household. Recently, Hayley was sent the Crystal Queen Prize Pack from Great Pretenders and I can’t rave enough how awesome this costume is!
If you have not heard of Great Pretenders, they are an award winning children’s costume line that started in 1989 and has collaborated with industry leaders such as Pottery Barn through the years. Great Pretenders not only produces quality costumes but they are very committed to helping child education and providing resources for parents. Through playing with costumes such as the Crystal Queen Prize Pack, Hayley is able to do “shows” with her friends which all attributes to great language skills. Imaginative play is so important for young kids and a great resource for education too.
The Crystal Queen Prize Pack was absolutely magical. When Hayley first tried it on, she told all her friends she was Elsa from Frozen. It is beautifully handcrafted and features a sequin sweetheart bodice, lined for comfort, with crystal organza sleeves. The peacock blue satin flows right to the floor with silver trims finishing the entire dress. This dress features a long trailing piece of sparkle tulle attached at the back and frosted with silver sparkle stars and trim. Along with the dress, she received a matching cape, tiara, and shoes. While she has had a lot of princess dresses before, none have been as great as the Crystal Queen Prize Pack. The material of the dress is amazing and I am sure this dress will last many years, probably to be handed down to Taylor when she gets bigger. She is certainly a queen in this dress!
