#Bake4Better #adIt is the holiday time which means the start of the baking season. While I love to cook dishes for dinner nightly, one of my favorite things to do is bake. If time permitted, I would bake all day long. The only problem with baking is it could be unhealthy at times. I try my hardest at every possible step of baking to try to incorporate healthy oils and such. One way I am able to do this with my baking is by using Pompeian Grapeseed Oil Spray.#Bake4Better #ad

If you are not familiar with Pompeian Grapeseed Oil Spray, it is a 100% grapeseed oil imported from France.  It is a light, all-natural cooking spray which has a high smoke point making it an ideal choice for stir-frying,sautéing, grilling, and baking. What I love about this spray is has no chemical, additives, or propellants added.  It is truly is 100 percent all natural! With all the high calorie recipes out there, by substituting Pompeain Grapeseed Oil Spray, I know I am making my dishes much healthier. In each 1/4 second of spray, there is ZERO fat, ZERO cholesterol, ZERO calories, and ZERO carbohydrates. When you are cooking with Pompeian Oil Spray, you will never get any of the propellant mixed in which in turn delivers only 100 percent oil when you cook.

To celebrate the launch of the new Pompeian Grapeseed Oil Spray and start of the holiday baking season, Pompeian is partnering with celebrity pastry chef and executive chef of Charm City Cakes, Duff Goldman, to show Americans how to enhance their holiday baking recipes with the new Grapeseed Oil Spray.#Bake4Better #ad

Pompeian and Goldman are challenging Americans to better their baking by using the new Grapeseed Oil Spray in their favorite holiday recipes for a chance to better their communities. Right now they  have the Baking for Better Challenge going on. To enter,  you simply upload a photo to Instagram using the #Bake4Better hashtag, showing how you are giving baked goods a tune up with Pompeian Grapeseed Oil Spray.

I decided I was going to enter this contest since I had the perfect recipe to use it for. I decided I was going to make Doughboys, also referred to as Fried Dough, in certain parts of the country. On Christmas morning, the tradition in our family is to sit down and eat Doughboys while we open our gifts. The problem is Doughboys use a ton of terribly fattening and unhealthy oil. While Doughboys are so good, I decided I was going to try to alter the recipe to create a healthier Christmas morning treat for my whole family. In substitute of the heavy oils, I used the Pompeian 100 percent Grapeseed Oil along with a bottle of the liquid Grapeseed Oil on the market.

Doughboy recipe:

Ingredients- 1. Fresh Pizza Dough (you can find this in the refrigerated section of your local supermarket) 2. 8 sprays of  Pompeian 100 percent Grapeseed Oil Spray  3.  3 TBLS of the Pompeian Oil 4. Powdered Sugar

Directions:

1. Heat up pan with 8 sprays of Pompeian Grapeseed Oil Spray and 3 TBLS of the liquid Pompeian Oil.  I probably could of only used the Oil Spray but the Doughboys really need to heat in a lot of oil, to cook sufficiently.#Bake4Better #ad

2. Cut up fresh pizza dough into whatever shapes that you want. Add to heated pan in #1 and cook for about 2 minutes each side. If you overcook, it will become tough, so you want to make sure it is around 2 minutes on one side and then flip to the other side. Also, depending on how big your pan is, you can probably get two Doughboys at a time.#Bake4Better #ad

3. Take out of pan and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Enjoy!

#Bake4Better #adI love using the Pompeian Grapeseed Oil to make this rather unhealthy recipe, much more healthy for my whole family! If you are looking to bake or cook this holiday season, be sure to give Pompeian Grapeseed Oil a try!

I’ve never baked with grapeseed oil, but I always look for spray bottles instead of pouring oil… will definitely keep my eyes peeled for this!

I love the Pompeian Grapeseed Spray! I would NOT have thought to use it to make doughboys, but considering I love them so much, I will now have to try that.
