Max & Ruby: Summertime for Max & Ruby


Ruby’s Lemonade Stand
Business is booming for Ruby and Louise who open a lemonade stand to raise money for Bunny Scouts. It’s a nickel a glass and going fast. Max loves lemonade but doesn’t have a nickel to his name.  Max opens a pancake stand to make money to buy lemonade but it’s a bust. No one’s buying until Grandma comes along – Ant and Acorn pancakes are her favorite!

Ruby’s Rummage Sale
Ruby and Louise gather together all of Ruby’s old clothes and toys for a rummage sale, so they can raise money for a Bunny Scout Field Trip. Max wants to help, but everything Ruby wants to sell, Max wants to keep.Ruby’s Magic Act
Ruby and Louise are practicing their magic act for the Bunny Scouts Talent Show and they need Max to be their volunteer from the audience.     I would definitely say the Dora the Explorer DVD. My 2 yr old son is obsessed with Dora and in fact had a Dora birthday party in May for him. Dora is one of the few words he says!

    My son would love Dora the Explorer. Hr is 2 and his second birthday theme in May was Dora the Explorer. He cannot say many words still. I think 10 or less and Dora is his favorite. I ask him what he wants to watch and Hr always says Dora!

    I think that the Max and Ruby DVD set looks best. I like that there is more variety in show and that the themes and lessons seem a little more pertinent to young kids’ learning. I am not one to just throw on the TV for kids, but when a show is earned or needed I would prefer one with a really good message behind it. Thanks!

    We have A LOT of Dora DVDs (but could always use one more) and we only have one Ruby & Max that gets played constantly – so that one looks best to me (although something tells me that if I were to ask a certain little girl who is currently wearing a Dora swimsuit she might disagree)

    I would say Summertime for Max and Ruby as both my son and daughter love this show.
