This dentist is participating in the Crest and Oral B Plaque Control Program!

A few months ago I talked about two  fantastic brands that I use in my personal and professional life, Crest and Oral B. As a dentist, I see kids and adults come in with severe gingivitis and accumulations of plaque in their mouths. After they have their teeth cleaned by the hygienist, they remark how they wish they could keep their teeth “professionally clean” all year round. I know how great it feels to have your teeth cleaned – your teeth glisten, all the plaque is cleaned away, and you walk away with the confidence of knowing you have a healthy smile. When they tell me  how they could keep this feeling, I tell them the truth – it is easy to keep your teeth “professionally clean”.

It is easy to keep your teeth clean between your twice-a-year cleaning. For me, I have a dental regimen of flossing, brushing, and using an oral rinse on completion. I also make sure that I not only brush but I brush for a full two minutes. Too many people think they can get the fresh feeling by brushing for 30 seconds..not so! If you are unsure of how long two minutes is then set a timer. For my daughter, I keep a timer in her bathroom and when it goes off, she knows I will stop brushing her teeth.

New on the market, are Crest and Oral B products that when used together will not only reduce plaque but keep plaque at bay. The Crest and Oral B Pro Health Clincal Plaque Control  incorporates the following four products: Crest Pro-Health Clinical Plaque Control toothpaste, Glide Pro-Health Clinical Protection Floss, Oral B Pro Health Clinical Pro Flex toothbrush, and Crest Pro Health Clinical Advanced Oral Rinse. I plan to be following my journey to see my plaque reduction as well as see if these products helps plaque from coming back. I have started my journey a few weeks ago but you will have to wait to see the results….

Pro Health Clinical  also came out with an Olympic Games Sweepstake:

Crest and Oral-B invite you to enter the Pro-Health Clinical Olympic Games Sweepstakes for the chance to win trip to the London 2012 Olympic Games, and also enter into a weekly drawing to receive the full product line. To enter the sweepstakes visit www.crestoralbclinical.com/olympicgamessweeps. The sweepstakes begins on March 15th and will run through May 31st. No purchase necessary. Void where prohibited.

We use Crest at home. My son calls it the bubble gum toothpaste because of the flavor. I am so tempted to buy my son one of those fancy electronic toothbrushes since he thinks brushing for 15 seconds is good enough. But then again, he is 4. Maybe next year when he can actually brush by himself adequately, we’ll splurge.

Good tips and thanks for sharing! I use a Sonicare which has a built in timer. When T brushes his teeth I’m always telling him that my timer didn’t go off yet and to get back to brushing! LOL
