Zane’s party was truly fantastic! As most of you know, we went with a Sesame Street themed First Birthday! I knew that I wanted to get some cute decorations for his party but I wasn’t sure where to turn. These days, there are so many online websites where you can purchase just about any type of first birthday party supplies. I decided to go with Discount Party Supplies for most of Zane’s decorations.

Discount Party Supplies incorporates anything you would need for your child’s birthday. You can do a quick search on their site for 1st birthday party, boys parties, girl parties, general party items, elegant dinnerware, as well as themed parties. We decided to go with Sesame Street, but we really had so many choices to choose from including: Mickey Mouse, Barnyard Bash, Chuggington, Dinosaur, Yo Gabba Gabba, Thomas, Winnie the Pooh, and so much more!

When I first did my search for Elmo, I found I could do a complete party package including invitations, party decorations, and party favors. They have the standard, deluxe, and ultimate party package depending on how elaborate you want your party to be. You can also search for items solely for your party theme. When I did a quick keyword search of Sesame Street, I had my choice of over 100 items including balloons, party banners, candles, invitations, streamers, party favors, party hats, napkins/plates. I really wanted one of everything but knew I needed to limit what I could get.

A few of the items we did end up getting were:

The Singing Balloon Elmo: The Singing Balloon Elmo is a large mylar balloon that was used at the center of Zane’s party. When someone pressed the button, Elmo sang Happy Birthday! I never saw a balloon like this and Zane LOVED it! We used it for many weeks after as well and each time Zane got giddy with hearing Happy Birthday.

Sesame Street Large Centerpieces: The Sesame Street Large Centerpieces  were incredibly easy to put together and made each table exciting! It really brought our theme to life! Zane loved seeing the centerpiece as all his favorite characters stood out from his beloved Sesame Street.

Sesame Street First Birthday Hats: What party is complete without party hats! These Sesame Street First Birthday Hats are the cute cone shape hats that the kids loved to wear. Hayley loved to steal them from the other children so she could build up an array of hats in her room. Shhh… Don’t tell the other kids!

Sesame Street School Bus Balloons: The Sesame Street Bus Balloon really added excitement to Zane’s first birthday party! All of the characters were present on this large balloon.

Sesame Street First Birthday Candles: The Sesame Street First Birthday Candles really brightened up Zane’s already gorgeous cake. These candles went perfectly with his cake- it was a perfect addition. While Zane was too young to understand the concept of blowing the candles out, Hayley really enjoyed doing it!

Sesame Street First Birthday Hanging Swirls: The Sesame Street First Birthday Hanging Swirls were another excellent addition to Zane’s decorations. There was a big bar at the banquet hall we had the party at, and we simply hung these swirls all over the bar. It added another dimension of fun to his party!
