King Richard’s Faire has been a medieval renaissance fan favorite for many, many years. This year my blog contributor, Randall went to the Faire and he, along with his friends, had a great ole’ time! Every year, King Richard’s Faire comes up with the most innovative and timeless acts that showcase in their 2 month festival. My blog reviewer thoughts:
We went with a group of 9 and we had an absolute blast. It’s just such a fun, open environment where everyone can fully let go, wear awesome costumes, and have a good time together. Seeing thousands of people dressed up really sets the mood, and there are tons of great shows—the horse jousting show was especially amazing and super fun to watch! Ended up browsing a ton of the handmade artisan stuff and grabbed a few cool souvenirs to take home.
It gets super crowded, but the grounds are big enough that you never feel boxed in, and parking was easy with plenty of options. The only real headache was the food lines—everyone was after those massive turkey legs, so we skipped the wait and passed on them. Totally immersive, funny, and a great day out overall. Definitely looking forward to going back next upcoming year.
