If you’re a long-time reader of the blog, you know I and my family love Hersheypark. It’s THE best theme park in the Northeastern US, and overall, it’s one of the best theme parks in the entire country. We love heading to the park for fun family getaways that don’t require a ton of travel, and when we go, we love to stay at Hershey Lodge. It’s cozy, comfortable, and only 8 minutes from Hersheypark. Plus, we have access to some great perks when we stay at the lodge!
This past summer we visited for our annual trip and you can see all about our days at Hersheypark. While we love spending our days at Hersheypark, the best part of our trip is the family checking into Hershey Lodge and getting full size candy bars! Their excitement on their faces is something my husband and I love seeing! This year we were housed in a 5 person suite which was incredible. If you have a family of 5 or more, they have awesome accommodations.
About Hershey Lodge
One of the high points for us is that the lodge is so close to Hersheypark, but that is far, far from the only thing it has going for it. One of the largest convention resorts in Pennsylvania, Hershey Lodge has something to offer everyone. Business travelers have access to everything they need to do their work in comfort, and families have access to on-site fun like an indoor pool complex, mini golf, arcade, and, of course, Hersheypark just 8 minutes away. And both kids and adults enjoy the luxurious accommodations and delicious food offered at the resort. They even have an on-site spa, the MeltSpa.

On-Site Fun
Even if you’re not planning to visit Hersheypark, Hershey Lodge is still the best place to stay for any trip in the area because it has a ton of its own on-site fun. It’s a bit like a mini-theme park for the kids in its own right. Adults and kids can enjoy a ton of family fun at their Water Works indoor pool complex, arcade, and outdoor pool, along with tasty treats and adult beverages at the Cocoa Cabana, and a fitness center for the grownups.
Water Works
Hershey’s Water Works features 30,000 square feet of fun with water slides, a watery rope bridge and other interactive features, a zero-entry pool, and more. It has something for every age.
Arcade
The arcade features classics like ski-ball, a claw machine, and other games to earn points for a wide variety of prizes. There are also arcade games for the kids toe enjoy, as well.
Outdoor Pool
The outdoor pool features zero-entry, a lounge area, and a spray fountain for the kiddos.
Fitness Center
The fitness center features a variety of cardio and resistance training machines to help adults keep fit during their stay.
MeltSpa
Adults can enjoy a relaxing few hours at the Hershey Lodge on-site spa, MetlSpa. Here, guests will find a variety of offerings like massages, facials, and more.
Dining
Hershey Lodge features a wide variety of dining options for guests, with everything from breakfast and dinner to sports-themed pub food, and of course, sweet treats.
Fire & Grain offers innovative breakfast and dinner options featuring re-imagined comfort food everyone will love and cocktails for adults. The Bears’ Den serves up classic American fare like burgers, dogs, and fries along with big screen TVs.
Cocoa Cabana is a pool-side snack bar featuring eats for everyone in the family, including alcoholic beverages for the adults.
Revelry is the perfect spot for mom and dad, with classic and contemporary chophouse dishes and a vast collection of wine and spirits.
At Stacks, families can enjoy hearty filling breakfasts and lunches featuring everyone’s favorites.
Finally, Cocoa Beanery offers a variety of pastries and desserts for the entire family, hot chocolate for the kids, and specialty coffees, lattes, and cappuccinos for adults.
