Graco Contender 65 Convertible Car Seat Review + Giveaway! #GoWithGraco

GracoI am embarrassed to admit that I am just taking Taylor out of her bucket infant car seat. Truth be told, I did not change her to a convertible car seat because I was plain lazy! However, this past week, I made the switch to the Graco Contender 65 Convertible Car Seat and I could not be happier! The Graco Contender 65 Convertible Car Seat can be used for infants as small as 5 pounds up to toddlers as big as 65 pounds. It is used for  rear-facing infants from 5-40 lbs. and forward-facing toddlers from 20-65 lbs. We obviously have Taylor rear facing and we are an extended rear facing family, so I am sure she will be like that till at least 3, as my other kids were.

I love this seat because I can use it for many years to come.  It easily grows with your child with the Simply Safe Adjust™ harness system, which automatically adjusts both the harness and headrest height.  As your kids get bigger, you can use the harness system to adjust accordingly.  There is 8 different headrest positions that you can change to. There is a completely hassle free installation process as it features the easy LATCH system and has an easy-to-read level indicator to tell you exactly how to position. Once we had it set up, she was ready to ride in it. It is not too big, so it will fit in even the smallest of cars. It is also made of EPS, energy absorbing foam,  for effective impact energy management.

It  features the 5 point harness which is front adjustable to get your baby in and out easily. I feel very safe once she is buckled to bring her on the road with me. I am able to recline the seat in two positions based on where her legs hit. Right now, she does not need much room but as time goes on, we will definitely be using this feature.

Lastly, it features a removable head and body support that makes your kids comfortable in this seat.  If the seat gets dirty, do not fear as the cover slip is machine washable. We had to wash it once already (a car sick toddler) and it was no problem at all!

    The extended rear facing feature is a big thing! And well, you are not alone, my kid was almost one when I switched him to a convertible lol (not because I was lazy, ok yes maybe, but because he outgrew it at that age too haha!)

    I really like the front adjustable 5 point harness for the car seat. It makes it easy to make quick, safe size adjustments without having to juggle your child. The Shopkins Fruit and Veg stand playset looks fun.

    I love how the neck pillow supports the head and how the car seat itself can withstand the cold. In Michigan, it gets below zero in the winter, and I wouldn’t have to worry about it being outside and the stress the cold would be on it.

    From the link I like the Shopkins™ Small Mart. As far as the car seat goes, I love everuything about it! I currently have a Graco for my son, it soulnds like this would be just as easy to use and as safe for my daughter!

    i love that this seat and brand are ones i trust to have my baby in when its time to go out,the great fact that its a one-and-done type of car seat is the top selling point(saves us parents quite a bit $ in the longrun) and love the color choices, no boring basic black and greys…as far as shopkins goes my daughter chose the 56005 Shopkins™ S1 12 Pack as her favorite that she liked.

    I love the Shopkins Food Fair, my daughter would LOVE this!!

    My favorite thing about this carseat is that is grows with your baby! My youngest daughter is badly in need of a new one.

    It’s amazing that this carseat can be used for such an enormous range of ages/weights! My daughter is 17 m and in a rear facing seat (I was advised to get one of these rather than a convertible seat – not sure why?) but she’s going to outgrow it eventually, and this seat looks like the cadillac of carseats! The adjustable headrest and harness are huge pluses.

    For the carseat I love the 5 point harness. Safety is our top priority when it comes to our babies. For the shopkins site I like the games section the best.
