Zumba Fitness 2 Wii review

Zumba- have you heard of it! If not, let me tell you, you are missing out!  Zumba is the hottest dance trend that has hit the workout world. Zumba is an invigorating Latin dance set of routines that have been incorporated to those looking for a truly amazing workout,  all while having a truly exciting time.

If you have not tried a Zumba class, you should! However, I know that a lot of people like to workout at home, rather than visiting the gym. Between having kids, cooking dinner, working, and doing routine chores, the last thing people think about doing is hitting the gym for a Zumba class. While I do still recommend trying one, I have to tell you about the hottest Wii fitness craze: Zumba fitness 2.

The smash hit dance fitness party is back in full force and features hit music from Pitbull, Nicole Scherzinger, Yolanda Be Cool, and Dcup. What better way to get your self in shape- simply turn on Zumba fitness and off you go! Feel the music and let loose with red hot choreography set to the most electrifying tracks. Party yourself into shape with 32 all new routines and more than 20 different dance styles. Some of the dance styles include Hip-Hop, Merengue, Salsa, Swing, Batucada, Cumbia, Reggaeton, Pasodoble, ChaChaCha, Samba, Mambo, House, Latin Pop, and many more.

The Zumba Fitness 2 Wii is designed to be played with the Zumba fitness belt that is included with your disk. You can also buy other belts if needed, as the game can be played with multiple players, if you like. The Zumba fitness belt simply fits around your waist, via Velcro, and is adjustable to fit your body type. Once you put on your belt, the Wii remote fits right in the pocket facing outward to enjoy hands-free playing. The belt is to be worn because all moves are associated with your hip- go shake that hip to the music!

The game can be played alone or with up to three other friends. I like to play it alone because most of the time my friends don’t come over to workout with me, but I can see how it would be very fun to have a group do it. Perhaps on my next mom night retreat! You can take a full class with a number of routines. You have the chose of a short class, mid-length class, or full class, depending on how much time you have. You can also create your won play list. I have tried this and I love to have  my own personalized Zumba play list to shake my hips too.

It is very easy to learn the steps with the way the video demonstrates it. I simply mimicked their movements and I was good to go. I think my favorite part of this game, is the progress tracker. The tracker displays your performance stats, awards, and extra videos that are unlocked as you play through the game. You are able to see your progress that you made by viewing the graph through different days and weeks. I love to keep track of my calories and I can easily do this with the stat counter. You can’t believe how many calories Zumba actually burns!

I have to give Zumba Fitness 2 Wii 5 stars. I love to shake my booty and with this incredible soundtrack; it made it so easy to do so. I had no idea how hard Zumba was until I actually tried it. However, along with the sweating and getting a good workout, I feel completely invigorated and want more when I am done. That is the telltale sign that it is a good fitness routine for me.  I am now doing the video at least 4 times a week, and have lost 5 pounds since I started. Coincidence.. I think now! If you are ready for the time of your life, check out Zumba Fitness 2 Wii now available on Amazon for $33.96. Get ready to have some fun!!

*Thank you to the PR firm for supplying me with a copy of Zumba 2 for the Wii. My figure and I thank you! All my opinions are my own and not swayed by outside sources.

I am probably the last person on the planet to try zumba. Doing it in the privacy of my home like this would be perfect for me! You made it sound so fun!

lol, two of my best friends have been bested by Zumba and one of them wrote a great blog post called Zuba kicked my asba. I can't do any high impact stuff but it looks like fun and I think I could modify it so I don't need to jump, maybe it won't try to kill me. 😉 I gave you two awards today if you are interested you can grab them over at my blog any time. Thanks for all your hard work and the super fun Saturday laughs.

I've heard a lot about Zumba but have not got to try it yet. This may be the way to go for me so I could do it when I had time instead of via a class I'd have to drive to participate.

Zumba classes are sometimes offered at my gym, but I've been too scared to try one. I think I'd like to start with the video game in the privacy of my own home first! 🙂 Thanks for the review!!
