My family absolutely LOVES Hersheypark! Every summer for the last 10 years we have visited Hersheypark and honestly my husband says it is by far one of his favorite places in the world. If you have not visited yet and love chocolate, family fun, and amusement park rides, then you must take a visit to Hersheypark. I also highly suggest staying at either the Hershey Lodge or Hershey Hotel as the perks are well warranted staying on one of Hershey properties including exclusive extra hours at the parks.
Right now with Halloween coming up, they are doing some great specials. You can get a Halloween 4 pack to visit the parks for under $58 or Friday night ticket for $29.99 which allows you access to 5 haunted houses, 4 scare zones, and all the epic rollercoasters. If you are planning to go for multiple days, definitely purchase the multi day pass as it will save you money and allow you to have even more fun!
This year my family was very excited to try the brand new Twizzlers Twisted Gravity ride. This ride can be really intimitating when you first see it as it is a HUGE swing that ascends 137 feet, defying gravity as you experience zero G moments and speeds of 68 MPH. Located near the Comet ride, this is one ride that will have you breathless. I will fully admit I whimpered out but the rest of the family LOVED it! You have to be a daredevil though! That is your fair warning but my son exclaimed how amazingly fun it was!
Another fan favorite from the Pezza family is the hybrid rollercoaster, Wildcat Revenge. This ride is super fast and smooth. With reaching speeds of 62 MPH at a ride height of 140 feet, it is a ride that will leave you totally and utterly breathless. This ride is our favorite ride at Hersheypark. The only one who has not rode it yet is Tay Tay but next year she will become more brave. I also always remark how smooth this ride is. Even though your hair is going in fifty million directions when you are done, it is not a ride that will jolt you or cause you any pain LOL!
To round out our top three favorite rides would have to be the Shaq-A-Licious Laff Trakk. We were there when it was not changed over yet but my kids absolutely love this inside rollercoaster, as does the parents. It recently went through an upgrade and it is ready for all of you to experience this true thrill ride. I will warn you that this is one of the most popular rides so go on this very early or very late in the day and you should only wait a bit. If you go on it mid day and do not have a fast pass, you can be waiting a long time but it is truly worth it.
I will also put a note that Hersheypark is truly great with food allergies. I have a son who has severe food allergies and every place we visited took his allergies very seriously. I really appreciated this as a mom, along with them providing many gluten free, kosher, and allergy friendly foods all around the park.
If you are looking for a great family vacation, Hersheypark is the place for you! It has something for everyone and will provide countless family memories!
