Last weekend, my daughter and I, along with her friend, went on a Whale Watching Tour through The Boston Harbor City Cruises and New England Aquarium. To say we had an incredible day is an understatement. We were so lucky to have seen so many dolphins and whales! Our tour guide said each tour is different but we had unbelievable sightings. It was as if the dolphins and whales were doing a full show for us. Our tour operator was also extremely knowledgeable and told us about everything we were seeing.
Our tour began from the Boston Harbor and getting on the vessel was seamless. Once on, we got a snack and drink for our journey out to sea. About 80 minutes into our journey we arrived at our first stop which was close to Provincetown. There we saw MANY dolphins. They were truly an incredible sight to observe. The kids were so giddy when they were jumping out of the water. After spending time there, we traveled about 20 more minutes where we saw many whales. I have never actually seen whales before and they were GORGEOUS! They are such big and beautiful animals so to see them in the water and see them coming out with their enormous tails was incredible. Our vessel was full that day but there was plenty of room to see the dolphins and whales.
The ship had plenty of space both inside and out. For our journey there, we sat inside but once we hit our locations, we went to the outside and got to observe. Even with it being a full ship, we all had no trouble seeing at all. The tour was around 3.5 hours long but the kids and I enjoyed every second of it. It felt like the time went by so quickly! All 4 of us said we can’t wait to do this again!
