Let’s Have Fun! MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron App is Exciting!

Did you mark your calendars for May 1st? This is when the exciting MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters and I for one am so excited. I had some friends go on the press trip for this movie and they told me the movie was simply amazing! Eeekkk..This MARVEL fan is so excited! To get us ready for the release, Walmart has made it easy to get in the MARVEL mood with the new Avengers App in anticipation of the May 1st theatrical release of Avengers: Age of Ultron! If you have not already done so, be sure to download this app today in the Google Play store or iTunes!

So tell me Melissa how do we use this marvelous MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron app?!!!

1. First step is quite easy. Download Super Heroes Assemble on Google Play or iTunes! Once you download it, you will know you are there because you will see the Hulk, Thor, and more ready to give you the ride of your life.2. Play around with the app at home before going to Walmart. There is so much fun games and such to do on the app even before you go to Walmart.  Under the movie icon, you will find teasers and content just for us about the MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron movie. You can even see the upcoming trailers and a huge photo gallery right under the movie icon on this app. If you don’t have the app, you are missing out!

3. Then proceed to Walmart where the real fun part of the app is be had. This app is all about  scanning products/posters of the MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron to unlock cool features that can only be seen on this app. You can also unlock some of these features at home but trust me, in store gives you the better visuals.

a. The first part of the app leads you to the Discover icon. With this icon, you can will see the villains and heroes on the top line of this section, and then when you press on these, you will get different signs that you can scan to match up with the posters you see in the stores. For example, you will press Thor on the top and then this image of The Avenger’s poster will come up. Go to the DVD section and you will see the same sign. Scan it and then unlock a key to the puzzle. Most of the signs involve all your favorites such as the Hulk and Thor to name a few. I know sounds awesome, right?!

b. Directly to the right of the Discover icon, is a chance for you to suit up with your favorite characters. You can actually put yourself as the Black Widow with his batons or the armor that is seen throughout the MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron. It just like being in the movie!

 

c. Next, you will see the character icon which will give you tidbits on your favorite characters such as Hawkeye, Hulk, Iron Man, Thor and more. It is pretty cool to see what is said about each character. I know this got Hayley and I very excited about the movie!

d. 360 scan is the next feature and this always you to enter the Hulkbuster Testing Facility. To do this, you will need to find the Kellogg’s MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron fruit snacks. Unfortunately my store was out of these, but I am on a mission to see what the Hulkbuster Armor is capable of by  scanning the package in the future.

e. The Photo opp is next and here you can scan different signage at Walmart or online for a fun Avenger’s photo opp.

f. Lastly there is a wish list where you can put your favorite Avenger’s products that you want and then share via social media such as Facebook and Twitter.

Now for my absolute favorite part of the app was actually finding some great MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron products and then scanning them in with my app to unlock features. I first found the Cheez-It baked snack crackers in the cracker/cookie aisle at Walmart. I was then able to use the discover feature of the app to find the signage and match it up with the picture on the Cheez-It. Once I did that, I got a congratulations and I unlocked Iron Man’s digital content. I had a blast seeing the signs matching up and achieving my results.

 

Then I was on a mission to find the Dr Pepper  12 pack and Doritos which both featured fun images from the upcoming MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron. I totally love that some of my favorite brands are featuring my love of MARVEL. A true win-win for all!

I mean seriously how awesome is that that the Doritos have MARVEL characters on them like the Iron Man on the Nacho one.  I may or may not have bought quite a few packs of these to be the cool mom when my kids go to school and have their Doritos Avenger’s bling.

Of course, we also love the Dr. Pepper 12 packs with all characters from the MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron on them! As a bonus,  starting on 4/30, scan any 12 packs of Dr. Peppers Avengers or scan the in-store signage to unlock a digital comic book. This exciting comic book is brought to you by Dr. Pepper!

Lastly, no trip to Walmart is complete without checking out the toy and apparel section. Both of my kids got MARVEL’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron shirts and have worn them to school at least twice so far. I know they are just as excited as me!
