How to Manage Hot Flashes Naturally

They say time flies when you’re having fun – well, if that’s the case, then time really flies when you’re a mom. Beginning with those bleary newborn days, soaring straight through frantic (and fun!) toddler years, and heading at warp speed towards adolescence and high school, moms are all too familiar with their kids growing up in the blink of an eye. But they also need to remember that they’re growing and changing themselves, because the unfortunate truth is that sometimes menopause-related symptoms can sneak up on unsuspecting women as young as those in their 40s.

Though the official transition to menopause is marked by 12 consecutive period-free months and hits around age 51 on average, some women experience menopause much earlier (think: 40s) and menopausal symptoms can actually start even earlier than that. Perimenopause – the period of time leading up to menopause – can last for as long as 12 to 15 years, and brings with it symptoms ranging from irregular and changing menstrual cycles to sleep problems and even the dreaded hot flash.

Hot flashes can be triggered by anything from stress and excitement to spicy foods and the temperature outside. And when they hit, they hit hard. Perspiration, flushing, chills, clamminess, anxiety, and even heart palpitations can accompany a hot flash. Suffice it to say that dealing with these symptoms while chasing a toddler (or teenager!) is less than ideal.

The good news is that there are products on the market today that can help ease hot flashes naturally and effectively.

Relizen is a natural nutritional supplement designed to relieve hot flashes associated with menopause, without an estrogenic effect. Created from a purified Swedish flower pollen extract, Relizen has been shown to not only diminish hot flashes, but improve overall quality of life. In a survey of over 400 women, 93 percent reported that Relizen was effective in reducing their menopausal symptoms after just three months of use. Approximately half also experienced a decrease in fatigue and irritability, as well as an improvement in their sleep quality.

The best news? Across all studies, researchers found that women taking Relizen had no more side effects or adverse reactions than those taking a sugar pill. Studies also demonstrate that Relizen exhibits no hormonal activity or estrogenic effect.

Moms looking for a natural label will be happy to know that Relizen is grown without pesticides, and though it’s made from a purified pollen extract, the allergenic husk has been removed.

We all know time is flying. Relizen can help ensure you don’t waste time suffering from unpleasant symptoms that can get in the way of caring for, playing with, and spending time with your kids. So why wait?

I haven’t had to deal with this yet (due to age mainly) but have family member that do! I’ll pass this information on!

I was not aware of this info on perimenopause, but now I wonder if I’m experiencing it!
