Safety 1st Elite 80 Air + 3-in-1 Convertible Car Seat Review and Giveaway!

safety1st_logo_transT minus 6 weeks until baby girl arrives. I am so excited but so nervous at the same time, as I am sure most new moms/dads are! One thing I worry about is having a safe car seat for when baby girl arrives. Recently we received the  Safety 1st Elite 80 Air + 3-in-1 convertible car seat to review, which Zane has been “testing” out in our car. I am a huge proponent of buying a convertible car seat because I dislike the idea of continuously buying new car seats each time the kids outgrow them. The Safety 1st Elite 80 Air +3-in-1 convertible car seat is simply amazing in every capacity!Safety 1st Convertible Carseat

One of the most amazing features of this convertible car seat is the full body side impact protections with Air Protect +. As moms/dads, our #1 concern when we put our kids in the car, is them being safe. With this car seat, it is positively the safest choice in full body protection on the market. Air Protect + combines the advanced protection of our Air Protect® cushion system with patented GCell HX™ foam designed with hexagonal shapes for superior protection around the torso. TOGETHER they provide full body side impact protection.

Safety 1st Convertible CarseatWe were eager when we received it to set it up. Installation was quite easy as there is easy to identify color-coded belt paths and installation labels, that lead you to the correct way to set up the car seat. It then can be set up with a 5 point harness and can be readily adjusted to 10-position headrests that adjusts to fit your growing child. It features 4 position recline.  There is no need for your child to ever be uncomfortable in a car seat!Safety 1st Convertible Carseat

It also has a convenient, no re-thread harness when you need to fit your child int the car seat. In the past with other car seats, I am always having an issue trying to re-thread the harness and ultimately have to end up calling my husband. With Safety 1st, I no longer have that problem. Once secured, it can easily be converted to a belt-positioning booster, which is where my daughter is at right now. For the latch system, it is a one click latch, that can be readily set up.  The carseat is made of steel reinforced metal frame around it, so you know your kids will be safest in this car seat.Safety 1st Convertible Carseat

This convertible car seat can be used for children 5-80 pounds, so you will not need to buy a new carseat once you purchase the Safety 1st Elite 80 Air + 3-in-1 Convertible Car Seat! It works as a rear-facing car seat for babies up to 40 pounds, or 2 years of age, and then readily converts to a full 5 point harness up to 80 pounds. It then goes to the booster seat belt for kids up to 100 pounds. Simply amazing that this car seat goes from infancy to kids up to 100 pounds!Safety 1st Convertible Carseat

I absolutely love the Safety 1st Elite 80 Air + 3-in-1 Convertible Car Seat. It meets or exceeds Federal and ASTM Safety Standards, so I know my kids are the safest when we go for a ride. It is available for purchase at Babies R’ Us for $229.99.  Be sure to check out this amazing car seat today!

Looks Like A Sharp Looking Car Seat Durable Love The Safety Features & A Great Giveaway Too Thank You!

  2. Sheila says

my daughter is expecting, making me a grandma, and she already has a car seat. I don’t drive, but if I did, I would want that car seat listed above; especially, since when you put your newborn in the car seat, they look so small compared to the car seat they have to be in. I remember having to “pack her in” (my daughter) with blankets, so she wouldn’t be moving around too easily, like when we turned a corner. The above car seat would remedy that. Looks awesome and complicated. I would like one for my granddaughter who we are expecting on August 30th, 2014.

  3. says

I love that it is convertible. I have a 2 year old and we have tried a few different seats and still can’t find one we like. This sounds safe and like a great investment.

  4. Laura says

Wow! This seat can go up to 100lbs?? That’s so awesome! Yay for not having to buy multiple car/booster seats!

  5. Natalie says

My favorite feature is the 4 position recline so that it can accommodate many different types of children.

  6. Catarina says

I love how modern car seats are so padded and provide excellent protection for babies and toddlers.

  9. says

My twins are six and are still able to use the car seats we bought for them as infants because we got them seats that were convertible from infant seats. Car seats are a major investment and should be chosen carefully.

  10. Kim Simpson says

My favorite feature is definitely how long it can be used. I will stick with an infant carrier to start but I love that this seat can be my child’s 2nd and final car seat! What a great investment!

  11. Leslie says

I love that it goes from infancy to 100lbs. It’s the ultimate seat and I don’t have to worry about buying more than one seat while baby grows!

  12. says

Comfy looking seat & adorable child! I love the side head impact – especially to stop that head droop from kids that looks so painful :)

  13. says

My son has a car seat really similar to this and I love it because I feel like it’s nice, sturdy, and has impact protection everywhere. It’s always best never to skimp on their safety, especially when it comes to something like travel.

  14. says

Love how car seats are increasing the weight range. Safety 1st is stepping up and going above and beyond and still affordable.

  15. Laura Grillo says

I am looking for a seat for my husband’s car, and I love how this is 3 in 1! We wouldn’t have to buy any other seat because it would grow with our 19 month-old. And I really like the side impact cushioning and safety aspect. That’s one of my must-haves for car seat shopping.

  16. allyson tice says

i am loving the no re-thread harness system! This sounds amazing.. i hate re-threading the straps!! takes forever!!

  17. Rebecca Parsons says

I can’t imagine that the feature of having a car seat that grows with your child couldn’t be the best feature. That is some huge savings!

  18. Tamra Phelps says

Safety always matters most, but the fact that it is adjustable for up to 80 lbs. is great, too.

  20. Heidi Daily says

I LOVE the no re-thread harness, it is such an inconvenience to have to take the seat clear apart to resize the harness.

  21. Bethany says

I like that it will fit my daughter who keeps outgrowing everything, and yet could easily be passed down to a younger child once she outgrows it.

  22. Bonnie M. says

I definitely love the life expectancy regarding the weight of a child. Most car seats usually go up to 70 lbs but this is a whopping 100!! That’s terrific!!!

  23. Shayna says

I like that this car seat can accommodate a child from 5 pounds to 80 pounds that way you only need one car seat instead of buying an infant seat, then a seat for a toddler, etc.

  24. marian boll says

First and most important, that it is the safetest. And second that my great granddaughter can use it starting now at a few months till she’s almost grown!!!!

  25. Jess Strudthoff says

I love that this seat can be used as a car seat up to 80 lbs. Of course it can be used as a booster beyond that, but if our lady grows anything like her Daddy she will still be pretty young when she hits the maximum weights on most seats and I want to keep her in the car seat for as long as I can.

  26. Taylor Garcia says

I love that it can adjust to hold children from infant to 100 pounds. No switching seats every time they grow

  27. Ilona says

I love that it can be used at the different weights and you don’t need to keep buying new car seats.

  36. says

Yay for baby girl coming soon! I love that it’s a convertible car seat as well. They grow too quick and seats are way too expensive to have to buy multiple as they grow.

  37. Ashleigh says
