Sesame Street Come N’ Play Cookie Monster Kitchen Cafe Review-Giveaway!

I am so excited for my next review because it is one of my children’s favorite products! If your kids love Sesame Street, YOU MUST check out the Sesame Street Come N’ Play Cookie Monster Kitchen Cafe. When we first received this product, Hayley did cartwheels- she was so excited! She instantly saw Cookie Monster, Elmo, and Abby on the packaging, and she asked me to set it up right away. Little did she know, it was actually a kitchen too! If anyone has kids in the 18 month-4 year old range, you all know how exciting “cooking” in play kitchens are for them. So, when she saw it was not only an Elmo themed toy but an actual kitchen, she practically stood there hounding us to put it together immediately.

It was quite easy to set up the Sesame Street Come N’ Play Cookie Monster Kitchen. I think it took me around 10 minutes and it was fully set up. ¬†There are no assembly tools required and it securely snaps together, so your kids can’t break it.This is a brand new product that hit the market for this fall 2012. With the kitchen, kids can “cook” right along with their favorite Sesame Street friends in an interactive kitchen where chef Cookie Monster comes to life right before your little kids eyes. It has so many awesome interacting features for the little ones. First off, it is the ideal size- coming in at 30 inches tall. Second, on the top there is an sliding window where Elmo and Abby Cadabby can join in the cooking fun and they will sing along with Cookie Monster. Hayley and Zane could not believe that their favorite Sesame Street characters were singing- they were mesmerized!

There is also an area where you can “feed” Elmo and Abby Caddaby their food through their mouthes. It will then magically disappear and reappear again in the oven. Some food pieces and spatulas are also included with this set. Hayley and Zane each took turns for over an hour, putting food into Elmo and Abby’s mouth on the kitchen. Hayley caught on right away that the food ended up in the oven. Little Zane was slightly upset that the “food” was eaten because he didn’t realize it reappeared in the oven. Once Hayley showed him though, he was all set and happy! They LOVE feeding them! I also love the fact that the oven can be used for storage after they finish playing.

The Sesame Street Come N’ Play Cookie Monster Kitchen also features burners that they could slide to hear sizzling and cooking sounds, as well as turning the knobs on the set and hearing “life-like” clicking sounds. ¬†Hayley loved making me “omelets” and having me wait on the other side of the kitchen to receive my order. She loves “cooking” and this set is wonderful for her! Zane is still getting over that there are songs being played with his favorite Sesame Street characters. That is his favorite feature!

The Sesame Street Come N’ Play Cookie Monster Kitchen includes the play set, six “food” pieces, spatula, frying pan and an alphabetical menu. It requires six AA batteries- Demo batteries are included. It is available at most major toy retailers nationwide and on for $59.99. This would make an excellent gift for your children or for others!

This is so cute…love Hayley having fun in the pictures! I would want to win this for our baby (to play with someday lol) and/or my friend’s children. Steve and I just got into an arguement the other day. he said boys don’t play with kitchens, do they? I said, “um, yes they do, what’s wrong with that!? You’re the cook in this house, aren’t you?” I won the arguement even if he doesn’t know it. :)
    Thanks for the giveaway/review, Melissa

How cute! My daughter would love this. She is at the stage where she wants to do everything mommy does. This would be very cute to set up near me while I am cooking, so she can “help” mama (and keep her distracted for a few moments).
