Each blogger is responsible for their own giveaway and my giveaway is for the  very awesome Yum Yum bowls and plates.  As most of you know, I have lost a lot of weight since having Zane. Actually, I stepped on the scale at the doctors office last week, and I am at my lowest weight since High School- Yah!!  Part of my weight loss was not only eating right and exercising, but limiting my portion size. Portion size is something I have always struggled with since I was a small girl. I thought I was eating good but after 5 servings of healthy foods, it doesn’t justify eating healthy in the first place. Can you relate to my problem of portion size problem?

So I have found the perfect solution and that is Yum Yum dishes. Yum Yum dishes are truly adorable plates and dishes that are sized perfectly for correct portion sizes. By having the correct measurements on your plate, it will help you from the dreaded overeating and feeling stuffed problem. How many times do you grab a bunch of potato chips right from the bag? With the Yum Yum dishes, you can measure out the correct amount you should have and then stop when you see the saying on the bottom of the bowl, that Yum Yum time is over. Once I reach those words on the bottom of the bowl, it is motivation for me not to go for the second serving of food. I not only like it for me, but I use it as “bribing” mechanism for my daughter. I let her have her nightly snack in the Yum Yum bowl and she knows when she reaches the over on the bottom, she is done and not to ask for another. It really works!

    I'm trying to maintain or gain some weight. I was about 118lbs when I got pregnant with my son (first child), and I fell to 115, then 111 after having him (nursing). I didn't want to fall below 110 because I feel that is the lowest possible healthy weight i could be for my size, and last night i noticed that i fell below 110. I've been eating like normal, not really exercising, and switching to higher fat foods (like switching from 1% milk to whole milk, but nothing seems to be helping…. none of my clothes fit, i look like a little kid playing in mom's clothes :(
